JULY SESSION JULY 5, 2022 FIRST TERM DAY
9:00 a.m. The board convened with Commissioners Skip Brandt, Ted Lindsley and Denis Duman and Kathy Ackerman, Clerk present.
The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Commissioner Duman offered an opening prayer.
Commission reviews budget worksheets.
9:30 a.m. Richard Knutsen, new Jail Commander, and Nick, vendor from M2, present information on updating jail camera system. Brandt questions how many cameras are not working-Knutsen advises the cameras are all working, but the hard drive/storage system is what is not reliable. Plan creation is around $7100 that is good for ten years-discussion.
10:00 a.m. ICSWCD has rescheduled-budget discussion resumes. Ackerman questions request for funding from Jim Rehder for Behavioral Health-discussion regarding ongoing costs and use of opioid settlement funds. Commission has no objection to moving forward with this request-Ackerman will work on putting the requested amounts in the appropriate lines.
10:30 a.m. Recess and reconvene as Board of Equalization
Charles Holliman sworn and testifies regarding property values.
Kim Nuxoll presents documentation regarding current valuation of Mr. Holliman’s parcels-discussion.
11:00 a.m. Verna Lowe and Nicole Lowe sworn. Nicole Lowe testifies regarding improvements to her property and current appraisal.
Alana Lyons presents documentation regarding current valuation on Nicole Lowe’s property-this was a revaluation area this year, as well as trended per State Tax Commission guidelines.
Verna Lowe questions whether or not the Commissioners can assist-discussion.

Charlie Holliman questions methodology-discussion regarding contacting the legislature.
11:30 a.m. Megan Turner regarding Patton General Property Management, Violet Patton not present. Turner reads Protest into the record. Turner regarding current valuation.
