This volunteer commission is appointed by the Board of Idaho County Commissioners to serve on 2 or 3 year terms. All members of this Board should have a demonstrated interest, competence, or knowledge in airport operations. The Idaho County Commissioners are seeking Idaho County residents who are interested in serving on the Central Idaho Trails Maintenance Board. This volunteer advisory commission will be appointed to serve four year terms. Applicants should be actively engaged in motorized trail recreation, with demonstrated trail maintenance expertise. Appointees must be members of one of the below listed clubs:

  • The Pathfinders;
  • Elk City Dust Devils;
  • High Mountain Trail Machine Association;
  • High Country Snowmobiles;
  • Snow Drifters;
  • Kooskia Valley Cats;
  • Team Lochsa;
  • L.A.Y. (Public Land Access Year Around, Inc.);
  • Lewis Clark ATV Club; and
  • Ridge Runners.

The Idaho County Road Department is looking to hire a full-time Road Maintenance Technician. The starting pay is $ 25.28 per hour DOE, plus an exceptional benefits package. This position will perform routine road maintenance, snow removal, and equipment operation and maintenance.  Applicants must be available for nighttime and weekend duties as required. Minimum qualifications for this position include experience operating dump truck, grader, excavator, etc. Applicants must have a Class A CDL license. Minimum requirements include high school diploma or GED, proficiency in typing and general office skills. Position requires attention to detail and ability to work independently.
