Building/Living in Idaho County

On February 18, 2020 the Board of Idaho County Commissioners adopted by Resolution 2020-03, a Comprehensive Plan.  The Board of County Commissioners also approved and adopted Idaho County Ordinance 67, establishing and classifying all land in the unincorporated areas of Idaho County as multi-use with no restrictions except for Idaho County Ordinance 70 pertaining to subdivisions and Idaho County Ordinance 53 pertaining to mobile and manufactured homes.  All Idaho County ordinances, as well as the Comprehensive Plan, can be found online at www.idahocounty.org.

At present, the only building requirements in Idaho County for properties outside of city limits or city ‘areas of impact” are State requirements. The following contact information is provided to assist property owners in determining the proper course of action.
