The Idaho County District Court Office has been targeted in several scams!

• People, both outside and inside Idaho County, have been receiving text messages and phone calls threatening license suspension, car impounding, with holding wages and seizure of personal assets by legal force if they do not pay a ticket.  Some get a call-back number, and some get a link for payment.  We caution people against paying any fine or ticket based on a phone call or text message.  This is not how we notify people regarding delinquencies.  
• Notice from a citizen indicating that they received a call from an “Idaho County Sheriff’s Officer” the caller indicated that he had a series of jury questions that he needed to go over with the receiver of the call, and that he needed to meet with him in person, alone. The caller asked a series of questions and told the receiver of the call that he needed to remain on the line with him until they met. The caller didn’t reveal his name, just that he was with the Sheriff’s office.  Please be cautious!
