NOVEMBER SESSION NOVEMBER 8, 2022 SECOND TERM DAY
9:00 a.m. The board convened with Commissioners Skip Brandt, Ted Lindsley and Denis Duman and Kathy Ackerman, Clerk present.
The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Commissioner Duman offered an opening prayer.

9:15 a.m. Don Solberg regarding ICRMP valuations on buildings-explains the valuation clause and limitations. Solberg advises that we should enlist the Assessor’s Office to keep track of values for the buildings we have that are less than $400,000-this would allow us to keep better track of real replacement values. Discussion regarding content coverage.
9:33 a.m. Gene Meinen and Guy VonBargen regarding request for seasonal employee-Commission has no objection to moving forward with this. Meinen regarding purchasing versus leasing heavy equipment-leased graders are out more than a year for in the supply chain-discussion regarding total costs of buy out. Butch LaFarge, Western States Cat, explains short term leasing options while waiting for a replacement grader. Commission directs Meinen to move forward with leasing two graders and purchasing the loader. Brandt moves to approve the hiring of a seasonal employee. Duman seconds. Motion carries with all in favor.
10:02 a.m. Ackerman regarding budget resolution-the only fund requiring adjustment is Indigent, which is over due to jail medical. Duman moves to approve Idaho County Resolution 2022-19. Duman seconds. Motion carries with all in favor.
10:05 a.m. Meranda Small and Kirstin Jensen provide update on activities in the office-Keuterville Livestock Club won an award for their work in the community. Jensen advises that she has been working with the Senior Nutrition Program on education and will be doing extensive training on the Mental Health 101 with Idaho Forest Group-would like to continue training with the remaining county employees. Jensen advises that she would like to do another employee wellness challenge.
10:14 a.m. Brandt moves to go into Executive Session 74-206(1) a for Personnel. Duman seconds. Motion carries with all in favor.
10:30 a.m. End Executive Session.
10:40 a.m. Sheriff’s Office Complex discussion continues-Will Rutherford via Zoom.
11:49 a.m. Brandt moves to approve the wage increase for the Law Clerk. Lindsley seconds. Motion carries with all in favor.
Brandt moves to approve the minutes of the November 1 meeting. Duman seconds. Motion carries with all in favor.
Brandt moves to approve the Orders of Cancelation as per Abbie Hudson. Lindsley seconds. Motion carries with all in favor.
