NOVEMBER SESSION      November 23, 2009      FOURTH TERM DAY

 

            The Board met at 9:00 a.m. with all members present.

 

            Airport Task Force Meeting – Gene Dandliker, Task force member – Ted Lindsley. Task force member – Mike Cook – John Watson, Riedesel met with commissioners.

Topics discussed – request for Qualifications for Engineering Services – FBO or Manager – Idaho County Airport Facility Study – Gem Grant Application.

            Don Solberg, member of task force, entered.

            Classification of airport – money is available through Idaho Housing Association – 1.3 million for recovery zone facility bonds.

            Task Force requested web site for Idaho County Airport.

            Funding of airport explained by Skip – Title III money and PILT.

            AWOS – bid opening in the Spring.

            John explained FAA process for grants.

            RFQ will be published twice by December 2, 2009.  Various projects discussed by James Rockwell.

            Mike explained Forest Service connection with airport – and the needs of the forest service during fire season.

 

            Leases discussed – Mike Cook will be liaison between the FAA and the task force.

            John reported on Truck Route project – airport layout plan – possibility of an update (ALP) will be needed.

            Priorities for airport discussed – runway is the #1 priority and acquisition of land for runway.

 

            The board adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
