9:00 a.m. The board convened with Commissioners Skip Brandt and Mark Frei and Kathy Ackerman, Clerk present. Commissioner Duman is present via phone.
Brandt moves to amend the agenda to include a discussion regarding COVID protocol for employees. Frei seconds. Motion carries with all in favor.
The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Commissioner Frei offered an opening prayer.
Brandt moves to go into Executive Session pursuant to Idaho Code 74-206(1) b for personnel. Frei seconds. Roll call-District 1-yes; District 2-yes; District 3-yes (via phone)
9:58 a.m. End Executive Session
Brandt regarding possible modifications to the Courthouse COVID protocol-discussion. Ackerman will send out an update to reflect that employees should mask up and come to work in the event they have had contact with a COVID positive person, but have no symptoms OR if they have other general cold-like symptoms. Employees should stay home if they are ill and seek a test if they develop a fever and/or loss of taste and smell.
10:25 a.m. Brandt regarding $6900 bid on Gates property from Rad Mulching-this was advertised, but no bid received last week. Duman moves to approve the bid. Brandt seconds. Motion carries with all in favor.
Duman moves to approve the request from the City of Riggins for $7000 committed for boat ramp repairs. Brandt seconds. Motion carries with all in favor.
Brandt moves to distribute the amount of $16,905.00 from Sisters River Ranch, as a payment in lieu of taxes for property they sold that was ultimately gifted to the Federal Government to Current Expense. Frei seconds. Motion carries with all in favor.
Brandt moves to approve the Orders for Cancellation as per Abbie Hudson. Frei seconds. Motion carries with all in favor.
Brandt moves to approve the minutes of the November 10 meeting. Frei seconds. Motion carries with all in favor.
Bill Arsenault, Kamiah Fire Chief, introduces himself and updates Commission on changes and plans he has-discussion regarding moving to paid paramedics. His discussion with various stakeholders has revealed a need for consistency and stability-he feels his proposed changes would address these needs. Arsenault advises that he is looking to pursue an MOU with Idaho and Lewis counties to clarify service areas.
