 MARCH SESSION                        MARCH 18, 2020                    SPECIAL MEETING

 2:30 p.m. The board convened with Commissioners Skip Brandt, Denis Duman and Mark Frei and Kathy Ackerman, Clerk present.

The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Commissioner Duman offered an opening prayer.

Brandt regarding press release by the Sheriff’s Office that they are closing the Driver’s License Office-discussion regarding communication-Giddings requests an Executive Session.

James Zehner regarding the modifications to motor vehicle licensing in his office, as well as circuit breakers-there has been no provision for extending the deadline on circuit breakers-updates Commission on what other Assessor’s Offices in other counties are doing to include drop boxes-doesn’t feel this would work well here.

Kirk MacGregor and Matt Jessup advise that nothing in this discussion fits the criteria for Executive Session.

Duman questions what the employees in Driver’s Office will be doing-Giddings advises that there is plenty of other work they can be doing.  Questions why the Court Office is closed-Ackerman advises that it is by an Administrative Order of the Supreme Court-discussion.

Giddings questions what the Commission would like him to do-Brandt advises that he would like the Sheriff to postpone closing the office until there is a joint decision about other offices in the Courthouse building. Giddings advises that he’ll think about it.

Discussion regarding the criteria for calling an Executive Session.
