This volunteer commission is appointed by the Board of Idaho County Commissioners to serve on 2 or 3 year terms. Description

The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office has an opening for the position of Detention Deputy.

Detention Deputies fulfill a multitude of functions and/or duties such as booking and releasing of inmates, inmate supervision and care while incarcerated, transports etc.

Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age. Must possess and maintain a current Idaho driver’s license. Must be able to pass the Idaho POST physical agility test and background check. All candidates will be considered and must become POST certified within one year of hire.
