Preservation Plan Public Meeting

June 2, 2014

The Idaho County Historic Preservation Commission will host a public meeting to present the citizens of Idaho County with information about the countywide Preservation Plan to be developed over the course of this summer. The presentation is open to the public and will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, in the Grangeville Bicentennial Historical Museum at 305 North College in Grangeville, Idaho.

The presentation is part of a project sponsored by the Idaho County Historic Preservation Commission involving development of a preservation plan to strategize future preservation efforts across the county. The project is partially funded by a grant from the State Historic Preservation Office and the National Park Service, a division of the U.S. Department of the Interior.

The presentation by Kerry Davis, Principal of Preservation Solutions LLC, will solicit opinions from interested parties, local officials, and community members related to preservation issues, goals, and priorities, as well as address general principles and benefits of historic preservation, the National Register of Historic Places, and its affect on property owners.

Preservation Solutions is a historic preservation consulting firm based in Boise, Idaho, with more than 14 years of experience completing similar preservation projects in communities throughout the Rocky Mountain West and Midwest.
